Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge

A visit to Cambridge (my childhood home) isn’t complete without a walk through town, along The Backs and down the old streets to The Fitzwilliam. The building is magnificent (complete with portico entrance and the two huge stone lions which guard the steps)…

Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Garden

For me, the best part about the museum is the studio. It feels like Hepworth has just downed tools for the day and stepped outside for a tea break. Peering through the window into the bright space, one really appreciates why she adored St Ives so much, and why she was so prolific in this studio.

Kettle's Yard, Cambridge

Kettle’s Yard has always been one of my favourite places. We spent many hours here as children, running around the house and exploring the gallery. In recent years the main exhibition space has undergone a beautiful refurb, hosting a series of carefully curated exhibitions and events.
